2024 Bursaries

The festival committee would once again like to offer at least 2 bursaries to assist individuals in the furtherance of their personal development within their chosen arts discipline.

Applicants

In order to be considered, applicants must have competed in the 2024 Carlisle and District Music and Drama Festival. Consideration for a bursary is open to all competitors, irrespective of results achieved in the festival.

Bursary

At least 2 bursaries of £250 each are available.

Final decisions about the recipients of the bursaries will be made before the end of May. 

Bursaries should be used for activities undertaken in the UK which support an 

individual's artistic development e.g. travelling expenses for college/university auditions, tuition fees etc. Concert/theatre tickets or activities which involve working in the arts and from which an income might be drawn will not be considered.
