We are delighted to to offer a masterclass entitled: Verse Speaking and Reading for Performance with Vivienne Cunningham

Saturday, 28th January 2023, 10am-1pm - The Chapel, Austin Friars School

Free to participants and audience members.

Vivienne Cunningham LGSM trained with John Holgate at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has taught speech and drama, public speaking and performance techniques to all ages both privately and in state schools and colleges. Many of her pupils have achieved success in theatre, television and the film industry. Under her leadership, the drama department at Thorpe School established a strong reputation for performance and excellent examination results.

Vivienne has been an examiner for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She is currently an adjudicator for The British and International Federation of Festivals and we were delighted to welcome her as our adjudicator in 2020 and 2022.

This Masterclass will give participants an opportunity to learn and practise the techniques necessary to share their interpretation of poetry and prose successfully in performance. It promises to be a very enjoyable class, as well as teaching public speaking and reading life skills and will be invaluable preparation for festival performance and examinations such as LAMDA.
